An important exhibition project that ideally closes a long 2023 of celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's death.
An exhibition that is strongly and deliberately 'Spanish' in the identity of the project, but 'universal' in the heart of Picasso's artistic vision that it offers to the public.
A major exhibition, which brings to MUDEC over forty works by the Spanish master, including paintings, sculptures, drawings and sketches of preparatory studies of the precious “Quaderno n. 7” granted for the exhibition by the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Foundation - Museo Casa Natal of Malaga.
Picasso did not see a 'before' and an 'after' in art, there was no "other", "different" art: he conceived it as a timeless Whole.
He loved to underline:
"There is neither past nor future in art. If a work of art cannot always live in the present, it has no meaning".

The unique exhibition for her richness is dedicated to the great artist.
The most important exhibition among those set up at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, between 2023 and 2024.
The story of a woman with a passionate life, a precise portrait of the complex personality of one of the most famous artists in the world.
A unique artist who managed to represent her controversial relationship with men starting from the intense and troubled one with her father Orazio Gentileschi - her teacher, great painter of the time and friend of Caravaggio - which then transformed into rivalry until reconciliation in last years.
Orazio and Artemisia are told through close comparisons between canvases with the same subject, to understand how the girl was able to overcome the language of her father.
The two artists are also put into dialogue with the style of Caravaggio.

The exhibition itinerary, divided into eight sections, follows as usual the progression of the evocative rooms of the Castle of Novara and aims to illustrate, through fast-paced and stimulating comparisons, the work of the most successful Italian painters active in Paris in the Second nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Novara is a surprising and unexpected destination full of history, culture, nature and good food. A city of exceptional beauty due to its cultural richness: art, history and elegance which are just some of the elements that characterize it.
A city with a historic center on a human scale. As with most Italian cities, Novara also has a history that tells us of distant origins in time, from the Ligurians to the Celts, and of a succession of conquests and conquerors that in different eras, between the Romans, Lombards and Franks, up to Napoleon, have contributed to defining it in its current architectural and cultural values, which can be retraced by walking through the streets of its Old Town.

Ivrea Industrial City of the 20th Century
UNESCO World Heritage Site
The site consists of an urban and architectural ensemble and is characterized by buildings and architectural complexes, designed by the most famous Italian architects and urban planners of the twentieth century. These are buildings built between 1930 and 1960 and intended for production, social services and residential purposes for employees of the Olivetti industry.
The whole represents the material expression of a modern vision of productive relationships and presents itself as a model of an industrial city that responds to the rapid evolution of industrialization processes in the early 1900s.
Guided Tour
The guide will accompany us on the route along the most beautiful street in the world, as Le Corbusier defined it in the 1950s, illustrating life in the Factory, the projects of innovation and entrepreneurial courage that made Olivetti's industrial history unique, the models of health and cultural welfare and, therefore, the elements that made the community of workers of this company inimitable.
This narrative is inspired by the external visit of the individual buildings and residences now recognized as World Heritage Sites for their architectural value.
There are some exclusive entrances along the route: Factory Council inside the ICO Workshops, where the Visitor Center and Social Services Center are located with entrance to the former Library, Study and Experience Center called Casa Blu, Castellamonte neighborhood and West Residential Unit (Talponia) with entrance an original apartment, Palazzo Uffici with a visit to the monumental entrance.

THE WORLD OF TIM BURTON
The exhibition, dedicated to the creative genius of Tim Burton, for the first time in Italy, is set up at the Mole Antonelliana.
It is divided into 9 thematic sections and features over 550 works of art, rarely or never seen before: sketches, paintings, drawings, photographs, concept art, storyboards, costumes, moving works, maquettes, puppets and life-size sculptural installations.
Burton will receive the “Stella della Mole” award in recognition of his visionary and innovative contribution with his inimitable style to the history of cinema.
The Mole lift: The Mole Antonelliana, symbol of the City of Turin, is one of the highest panoramic points in Europe, where you have a 360° view of the city of Turin.
2. EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
A baroque palace in the center of Turin houses the oldest Egyptian Museum in the world.
Founded in 1824, it is considered the most important museum of Egyptian antiquities after the one in Cairo.

“FROM WOMAN TO WOMAN”
"From Woman to Woman".
So Maria Gaetana Agnesi wrote in 1748 on the title page of her book "Analytical institutions for the use of Italian youth", sending it to Queen Maria Theresa of Austria.
A direct message, born from the thought of a woman who was able to cultivate her passion for mathematics by translating it into simpler language for a young audience. A message that recounts the need for a less selective and elitist disclosure, well received by a woman, an enlightened sovereign, who did her utmost to promote compulsory schooling from 6 to 12 years old.
We will be told about this and more in the tour through the streets of central Milan and VISIT OF PALAZZO MORANDO, to discover the female figures who have left their mark on the city.

Julia Beccaria
known for a long time only as a daughter (of the great Cesare) and mother (of the great Alessandro Manzoni). And she as a mother has been accused and criticized by the most. Only the latest research has reconstructed her real condition, as her daughter-victim of her father's avarice and ideological inconsistency, and as a mother dedicated to the genius of her "rediscovered" son to the point of cancelling her own personality.
Fernanda Wittgens
teacher, civil servant, art critic and art historian. The first female director of the Pinacoteca di Brera. A strong civil commitment, for which she exposed herself personally, in a conception of culture that is never separated from an idea of communion and human solidarity.
Sofonisba Anguissola
the first woman painter to experience genuine international fame. What made this woman capable of overcoming the barriers of time and space, gaining a place of honour in the pages of art books? How did she manage to overcome the social and cultural prejudices of her era, rising above many male artists?
Marianne de Leyva
the famous "Nun of Monza". Forced there by Father Martino, Count of Monza, she pronounced her religious vows among the humiliated, assuming the name of Sister Virginia Maria. After the first slow and sad years, quick-witted and affectionate, she was chosen teacher of the boarders.
Clara Maffei
fragile and petite but sensitive, intelligent and cultured woman, animator of the famous literary, artistic and political salon of the 19th century, in which illustrious characters, men of letters, politicians, patriots, journalists, writers passed, such as Visconti Venosta, Nievo, Boito, Prague, Tenca, Capuana, De Sanctis, Anti-Austrian and liberal, she espoused the cause of liberalism and supported the anti-Austrian conspiracy.
Christina of Belgiojoso Trivulzio
very famous in life thanks to her contribution to the cause of the unification of Italy. She associates with the patriots, and feeling threatened, she runs away first to Switzerland, then to France. She founded a kindergarten for poor children, praised by the great pedagogist Ferrante Aporti. In France she had appreciated the ideas of Charles Fourier's utopian socialism and she created schools for boys and girls, as well as forms of welfare for the peasants.

The painting of Goya's mature years is a painting without models, it is the intimate and unrepeatable expression of an artist who creates art by revolutionizing it.
