The Locarni - Bavetta - Rebulla trio was born from the meeting between three of the most valid jazz musicians of the new Milanese scene, and offers a journey through different styles and concepts of trio in the history of jazz: in addition to the original compositions of the pianist Simone Locarni, there are also songs ranging from traditional (James Cleveland, Ralph Rainger) to more contemporary compositions (John Taylor, Bill Frisell). The cornerstones of the concert will be a strong stylistic coherence and a solid interplay, given by years of knowledge and mutual acquaintance.

The true story of March 8
and considerations on the role of women today in the western world
When was International Women's Day born? Why the date of March 8? Over time, the origins of the anniversary have not yet been clarified.
But March 8 is also an opportunity to ask ourselves some questions about the role of women today in advanced societies.
How is it possible that where there is wealth, few children are born while where poverty dwells, birth rates are very high?
Feminicides are a terrible reality but fatal accidents at work are too and involve the same number of women victims of domestic violence.
Migrant women, working women, women in poverty are other realities of a complex world that must be understood.

The Trio was born in 2018 and is made up of:

Caterina Cantoni - Cello
They have held several concerts throughout Italy and recently recorded five episodes dedicated to film music for the Rete 55 television broadcaster at the Salone Estense in Varese. In March 2021 they recorded a concert for the Varesotto Foundation in the Masnago Castle Museum, dedicated to the works of the great artists of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. They performed at the final evening of the summer music festival at the Lido of Milan under the artistic direction of musicians from the Accademia della Scala.

This year, for various reasons, the traditional women's day is a day of pain and mourning.
Every day we witness unprecedented violence against women.
But many other acts of violence and abuse are not reported.
There is still a lot of indifference around.
Is all this normal in a "civilized" society???
There is no education for respect, starting from the family, the school, the workplace.
The European Club
alongside Ukrainian women
Today we feel that it is up to us, even women, to protect ourselves.
The new profile of a politically autonomous Europe must be based on the development of equal citizenship between men and women.
On this March 8 alongside Ukrainian women, their lives intertwined with ours:
their dignity is our dignity
their freedom is our freedom.
