An important exhibition project that ideally closes a long 2023 of celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's death.
An exhibition that is strongly and deliberately 'Spanish' in the identity of the project, but 'universal' in the heart of Picasso's artistic vision that it offers to the public.
A major exhibition, which brings to MUDEC over forty works by the Spanish master, including paintings, sculptures, drawings and sketches of preparatory studies of the precious “Quaderno n. 7” granted for the exhibition by the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Foundation - Museo Casa Natal of Malaga.
Picasso did not see a 'before' and an 'after' in art, there was no "other", "different" art: he conceived it as a timeless Whole.
He loved to underline:
"There is neither past nor future in art. If a work of art cannot always live in the present, it has no meaning".
