  The "Great Performances for Children" project continues with the work of Benjamin Britten

   

  THE LITTLE SWEEP

   

  The Little Sweep, written in 1949 for the Aldeburgh music festival, is to all intents and purposes a work for children and teenagers created to disseminate musical techniques among the very young and educate them in music.

  The violin, seafaring songs, marches, waltzes, sentimental songs, pantomimes, bird calls: in this work by Britten there is everything to make children and teenagers passionate about music and theatre.

  A story from the children's side: adults certainly don't come out well, it's the little ones who take Sam's problems to heart and save him from a wretched existence, with the help of a sweet nanny, not even fully grown up.

  A precious evening: inspired by the art of the jewellery designer Claude Arpels, Balanchine chose music that would reveal the essence of each jewel. Each section differs by music, colour, and atmosphere. Emeralds evokes the nineteenth-century dances of French romanticism. Rubies, sparkling and spirited, fully incarnates the collaboration between Stravinsky and Balanchine. Diamonds evokes the order and grandeur of Imperial Russia and the Mariinsky Theatre, wher e Balanchine developed as an artist.

  With the choreography of Mauro Bigonzetti, the world premiere of Fabio Vacchi's composition on a libretto by Emanuelle de Villepin based on the novel The girl who did not want to die. The young Madina, kamikaze not by choice, chooses not to kill, she does not want to die: an act that shakes from the terror, triggers reactions, conflicting feelings and hope for change.   In compliance with the government provisions of the Prime Minister’s Decree of March 1^st, 2020, the postponement of the Shen Yun show at the Teatro degli arcimboldi in Milan, scheduled for Friday, March 6th, 2020 was announced.

  
  

  The new date of the new Shen Yun show at Teatro degli Archimboldi in Milan will be announced as spoon as possible.

  The European Club Ispra guarantees the members already registered for this show the ticket already booked and paid for.

  However, members are requested not to claim a refund of the amount paid until the communication of the new date is made.

  We guarantee that everything will be defined by October 31, 2020: the member will confirm then participation or will be refunded.

  ONLY WHEN THE NEW DATE WILL BE COMMUNICATED, the member already registered will be able to cancel the registration and receive a reimbursement of what has already been paid.
