The new monumental exhibition by
Anselm Kiefer
Le Alchimiste is a project launched in 2023 that brings together more than forty large-scale works conceived to engage in dialogue with a site marked by the 1943 bombing. The project places at its core the relationship with Milan and the figure of Caterina Sforza, alongside many other women connected to the alchemical tradition. Through a material and symbolic form of painting, Kiefer gives voice to forgotten female figures and acknowledges their fundamental role in the birth of modern scientific thought.
